About Hawk Hill Orchids
Hawk Hill Orchids is located in Pacifica, California, a coastal town about 10 miles south of San Francisco. The climate is wonderful for growing Andean orchids and other cool growers. In fact, two other orchid nurseries renowned for their species collections, Hanging Gardens and Golden Gate Orchids, are located on the same hill as Hawk Hill. Hawk Hill Orchids is owned by John Leathers and Bob Hamilton, who have been growing Masdevallias, Draculas, and Odonts for more than 20 years. Besides the extensive collection of species, hybrids, and named clones they have amassed over the years, Bob and John are also experienced in seed propagation of Pleurothallids and Odonts.
In 2008, John and Bob enlisted the help of Gary Meyer to launch Hawk Hill Orchids as a commerical vendor of Masdevallias and Draculas. Thus, Hawk Hill the business now operates in conjunction with Colombian Orchid Imports.
John, Bob, and Gary are excited to be able to offer you these wonderful plants and hope that you have many rewarding experiences with them.
